ENGLISH BOSS COOKIE POLICY

Version 1.1 — effective 28 August 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies and similar technologies are small pieces of information stored on or read from a user’s device in connection with a website or web application.

2. Technologies currently used

1. English Boss uses technically necessary session and authentication mechanisms that allow the platform to keep a user signed in, recognise the current session and protect the account.

2. The exact name of a technical cookie may change with application configuration. This version does not invent a production cookie name that has not yet been finally confirmed.

3. As of the effective date of this Policy, based on the confirmed deployment state, English Boss does not use active marketing or analytics trackers such as Google Analytics, Google Ads/Google Tag, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar.

4. We also have no confirmed use of localStorage for advertising or user profiling.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

Cookies or similar information necessary to carry out a transmission or provide a service expressly requested by the user may be used without separate consent to the extent permitted by law. This includes login, session and security mechanisms.

4. Paddle Checkout

1. When the user proceeds to Paddle Checkout, Paddle may use its own cookies or similar technologies required for checkout operation, security, fraud prevention and payment processing.

2. Those technologies relate to Paddle’s service and are also governed by Paddle’s privacy/cookie information.

5. Future analytics and marketing

1. If English Boss later introduces non-essential analytics, behavioural advertising, marketing pixels or other consent-requiring technologies, they will be blocked until valid consent is obtained where consent is required by law.

2. This Policy will then be updated with the provider, purpose, technology/cookie categories and relevant durations.

6. Managing cookies

1. Users can manage cookies through browser or device settings.

2. Blocking technically necessary cookies may prevent login or cause parts of the platform to stop working correctly.

3. If a cookie-consent panel is introduced in the future, users will be able to change or withdraw consent for non-essential categories through that panel.
