English Boss legal document
ENGLISH BOSS REFUND, CANCELLATION AND WITHDRAWAL POLICY
Version 1.1 — effective 28 August 2026
1. Scope
1. This Policy applies to individual paid English Boss access purchased online.
2. For transactions processed by Paddle, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record / authorised reseller. Payment, transaction-refund and statutory-withdrawal matters are therefore also handled under the current Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy.
3. This Policy does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
2. 30-day student access
1. The student PLN 29.90 plan provides 30 days of access as a one-time purchase and does not automatically renew.
2. The 30-day access expires at the end of the purchased period unless the user makes another purchase.
3. No automatic charge is made for another 30-day period.
4. A completed one-time purchase does not by itself create an automatic refund for an access period that has already started, unless a refund is required by mandatory law, Paddle’s Refund Policy or an individual refund decision.
3. Annual student subscription
1. The student PLN 299 annual plan is a recurring subscription that renews every 12 months until cancelled.
2. The subscription may be cancelled through the account, purchase-confirmation email or Paddle buyer portal. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current paid annual period, and no charge is made for the next year.
4. Consumer withdrawal rights
1. Consumers may have statutory withdrawal rights, particularly in the European Union, EEA, United Kingdom and other jurisdictions granting such rights.
2. For purchases made through Paddle, the exercise and assessment of withdrawal/refund rights is handled under the Paddle Buyer Terms, Paddle Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.
3. Where applicable law permits digital services or content to begin before the withdrawal period expires and makes the consequences dependent on an express request, consent or acknowledgement by the consumer, the relevant statements and mechanisms are presented at checkout. The absence of a valid statement does not remove mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
5. How to request a refund
1. For Paddle transactions, refund or statutory withdrawal requests should be submitted through Paddle’s buyer-support channels shown in the purchase confirmation or Paddle portal.
2. English Boss can assist with identifying a transaction or service issue at support@englishboss.org, but a Paddle transaction refund is technically processed by Paddle.
3. Following a full refund, access to the relevant product may be terminated.
6. Non-conformity of the digital service
1. If English Boss does not conform to the contract, consumers retain the remedies provided by applicable digital-service law, which may include bringing the service into conformity, a price reduction or termination/withdrawal depending on the circumstances.
2. Statutory conformity rights are separate from any discretionary refund policy and are not limited by this Policy.
3. Technical issues should be reported to support@englishboss.org with a description of the problem and information allowing the account or transaction to be identified.
7. Payment methods
1. Available payment methods depend on country, currency and product type and are displayed in Paddle Checkout.
2. Not every payment method available for one-time payments supports recurring subscriptions. The user sees the available methods before paying.
8. Chargebacks and abuse
1. Users should first use the appropriate complaint/refund route. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks or attempts to retain both access and refunded funds may lead to account restrictions to the extent permitted by law.
2. This does not limit the user’s right to lawfully dispute an unauthorised or incorrect transaction.
9. Contact
English Boss service issues: support@englishboss.org.
Paddle payments/refunds: through the channels identified by Paddle in the purchase confirmation and buyer portal.
